Introducing Clay at Home Kits for Adults from The Clay Lady’s Studios
Our Clay at Home Kits for Kids were such a success, we’ve created Hand Building Kits for adults to make at home. This Kit includes everything you need to make a hand built pot from the comfort of your own home. Each Kit includes instruction and demonstrations at all levels, as well as some fun new tools. Choose from two different Kit techniques & our NEWEST Artist Series Clay at Home Kit with Becca Jane Koehler.

Kurinuki Clay at Home Kits
Kurinuki: a Japanese term relating to a particular hand-forming process. This technique employs carving out a shaped solid block of clay to obtain interior space.
Surface Design Clay at Home Kits
Ceramic Surface Design: a technique that manipulates or changes the surface of the clay with color and pattern.
Each Kit includes: 5 pounds of low-fire clay, tools, and instructions for a hand building project, as well as a link to video demonstrations featuring techniques for Kurinuki or surface design. This Kit is for those that are new to clay as well as those who have experience. Watch the video for a hand building project goal for all levels.
The purchase of this Kit includes firing at Mid-South Ceramics! (CL Students- Please note that this is LOW-FIRE clay and can not be fired in class area, it must be dropped off and fired through Mid-South Ceramics!)
Anything other than the instructed project you make will incur an additional firing fee of $2 per piece. Please return the form below along with your work during business hours (Tuesday-Friday, 10am-5:30pm and Saturdays 10am-2pm.) We will give you a call when you can pick it up, usually in 7-10 days. Don’t live near The Campus? Have your local ceramic studio fire it for you.
