The meaning of RAKU is Japanese hand-modeled pottery that is fired at a low temperature and rapidly cooled to create a unique effect.
Join Susan Friday night to learn how to glaze your bisque fired Raku clay pot with Crackle Glaze, Copper Glaze, resist techniques, and more! On Saturday the firing will begin!
Susan recommends #239 Raku Clay made by Standard and can be purchased at Mid-South Ceramic Supply. (Clay not included)
Each participant gets to fire four 2.5 lb pots. Limited Registration. This class will fill quickly!
After registration, you will receive full information about the class via email.
Skills Building – some experience required/ages 16 and up/hands-on.
