Pottery Glazes

Pottery glaze is a glassy coating applied to ceramic bisque pieces before final firing. It serves to protect the pottery from wear and tear and also enhances the appearance of the piece. Pottery glaze is available in a wide range of finishes and colors, including traditional earth tones and bright hues. Pottery glaze is applied to the pottery using a brush or dipped in the glaze. After application, the pottery is fired in a kiln at high temperatures, Cone 6 is 2,242 degrees Fahrenheit, which causes the glaze to melt and fuse to the surface of the pottery. This creates a hard, durable, and glossy surface. Opulence Glaze is Barium and Lead-Free and can be used for dinnerware.
